Material: GFRP, PVDF sheet
Resin (adhesive): SWANCOR CHEMPULSE 907
Accelerator: SWANCOR 1305 Cobalt accelerator plus DMA auxiliaries
Curing agent: Trigonox V388
Best temperature range for operation: 15~25℃
Mixing adhesive with accelerator
Mix SWANCOR907 with SWANCOR 1305 according to the ambient temperature. The quantity (kg) ratio of SWANCOR 1305 is about 1%~4%. The lower the temperature, the higher the ratio.
Mixing mixed adhesive with curing agent:
Put about trigonox V388 into mixed adhesive, the adhesive will solidify in a short time. So it is better to do sample test to get suitable setting time. For example, put 0.1kg V388 into 1kg mixed adhesive, check the setting time. If the you need shorter setting time, then add more curing agent V388 into mixed adhesive in next sample test until you get the suitable setting time you need.
Normally the curing agent ratio range is 1%~4%.
After adding the curing agent V388, it needs to be stirred and mixed thoroughly. Bubbles will be generated in the adhesive. We should wait until the bubbles in the adhesive are almost completely eliminated before construction can begin. (Normally, the amount of adhesive prepared each time needs to be used within 40 minutes.)
Gluing operation:
First, apply an appropriate amount of adhesive on the PVDF backing, and the adhesive can fully wet into the backing material (do not allow too much adhesive to accumulate on the surface). Then use a layer of dense fiberglass cloth to stick to the PVDF backing, and then apply the adhesive. Similarly, as long as the adhesive fully wet the fiberglass cloth, you can add the next layer of fiberglass cloth.
