Virgin PTFE sheet (often incorrectly referred to as Teflon™ sheet) is a high performance thermoplastic that offers very low moisture absorption, provides exceptionally low coefficient of friction has excellent dielectric strength. It is highly resistant to corrosion and hydrolysis, has a broad operating temperature and is chemically resistant. PTFE molded sheet is manufactured by molding method with PTFE granular resin. PTFE skived Sheet is manufactured by technique of compacting, sintering, rotary cutting with PTFE granular resin.
2.Expanded PTFE Sheet or EPTFE Sheet
Expanded PTFE is a product that contains a large number of tiny holes in the product through the stretch molding process and is puffed.
Due to the large number of micropores, its relative density has decreased significantly. Generally, the relative density of PTFE products is about 2.15, while the relative density of expanded PTFE products can be less than 0.1, which means that the porosity has reached about 96%.Because expanded ptfe products have a large number of micropores, they have new functions without losing their original excellent properties, such as separation function, softness, elasticity and sealing.
